MoU signed between MP Medical Alumni Association of North America and Medical Education Department

Bhopal: In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, an MoU was signed between MP Medical Alumni Association of North America and Medical Education Department here today. This will facilitate exchange of modern medical techniques and health facilities. The association has about 1100 doctors from Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that the MoU will benefit Madhya Pradesh. Constant efforts are being made to improve medical facilities in the state. Free treatment, medicines and pathological tests are being done in state’s government hospitals. He said that he considers education, medicines, food, clothing and housing as fundamental rights of people. Facilities are being provided to state’s people keeping this in view. The government has given facility of free treatment of swine flu in private hospitals. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra informed that 8 lakh people are provided free medicines daily in the state.
Dr. Devendra Shrivastava of MP Medical Alumni Association of North America informed that the association decided to enter into an MoU with Madhya Pradesh on being impressed after meeting Chief Minister during his America visit and his speech. Under it, association’s member coming to Madhya Pradesh will provide specialist medical facilities. They would upgrade techniques and libraries in medical colleges. The MoU was signed by President of Association Dr. Devendra Shrivastava and Principal Secretary Medical Education Shri Ajay Tirkey. Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and Principal Secretary to CM Shri S.K. Mishra were also present on the occasion.
