Close female relatives can accompany pilgrims during Haj-2016
Bhopal. Pilgrims selected for Haj-2016 can take close female relative with them including paternal and maternal grandmother, wife, daughter, grand daughter etc. For this, Ministry of External Affairs has allotted 200 seats to Haj Committee of India. The women who have not applied for Haj-2016, but their Mahram (close relative) has been selected and is desirous of pilgrimage may apply by May 23. If number of applications exceeds 200, selection will be done by Haj Committee of India through draw of lot.

Applicant will have to specify why she has not applied for Haj-2016. Besides, certificate about relationship with Mahram, reason for journey, age certificate, details of Mahram and Ghair-Mahram relatives in family etc. would also be given.
