Available land should be allotted to investors after infrastructure development

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that wherever land is available for setting up industries, infrastructure should be developed and industries set up over there at the earliest. Final disposal of those plots in industrial areas should be made, which are lying vacant and the plots not used even after allotment for years. Decision should also be taken to re-allot land of the units closed for years.

Shri Chouhan was making quarterly review of the Commerce, Industries and Employment Department here today. Departmental minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram were also present on the occasion. It was informed at the meeting that plots have been allotted to 51 percent of investors who had signed MoUs at Global Investors Summit, Indore.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that youth entrepreneurs should be promoted. It should be ensured to promote establishment of industries in the rural areas that power is supplied to rural units for 24 hours. He directed to identify government land within 50 kilometer radius of Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior and Morena industrial corridor and National Highway No. 50.
It was decided at the meeting that infrastructure development work of Gems and Jewellery Park, Indore will be undertaken by the Road Development Corporation. Allotment of government land for Pithampur Government College will be made on a token amount. It was informed that the department is undertaking process to withdraw land allotted to industries but unused for years. So far, 1,386 allotments have been cancelled land allotted to other industries. Investors Service Guarantee Scheme is being implemented to attract investors. Small investors’ conventions will be held at the division level. These conventions will be held in January, February and March in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Satna, Bhopal, Khajuraho and Mandsaur.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri P.K. Dash, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, TRIFAC Managing Director Shri Arun Bhatt, Industries Commissioner Shri Rajesh Chaturvedi and Additional Secretary Commerce Shri Anupan Rajan were also present at the meeting.
