common people’s works should be hassle-free is my top priority: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that his top priority is that common people’s works should be hassle-free. Common people should feel that this is their own government. Like Chief Minister, officers should also not consider themselves as rulers, but public servants. Shri Chouhan said that Jan Sunwai should not remain a mere formality and people’s problems should be redressed in effect. Administration should pay attention to employees’ facilities but at the same time adopt attitude of zero tolerance against corruption. Every district should become an example of good governance. Collectors should chalk out development plan and one-year action plan for their respective districts. Their work will be assessed on this basis. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing Collectors-Commissioners Conference here today.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that entire 7.50 crore people of Madhya Pradesh are my near and dear ones. There is no separate friend or relative. Officers should not commit any irregularity under pressure of anyone. Those committing irregularity deliberately and not completing work in time should be ready to face consequences.
Shri Chouhan directed that collectors should ensure effective implementation of public welfare schemes in their districts, live up to people’s expectations and contribute in better development of the state. Programmes like Jan Sunwai should not remain a mere formality and people’s problems should be redressed in effect through it. He asked the officers to respect all and give them a patient hearing. They should live up to their expectations and work towards improving common people’s lives. Simplify procedures, use modern techniques and extend facilities to common people speedily. Make delivery of public services more effective. Collectors should act like CEOs of districts. In the state, there is policy of zero tolerance against corruption. Collectors should keep keen eye and act immediately when a complaint is received. Contribute in development of state in the right earnest, bring out happiness in people’s lives and make their lives meaningful. He asked them to complete every work within time-limit and cooperate in fulfilling promises made in Vision 2018 and Jansankalp.
