Protest erupts after murder of Karni Sena President: Rajputs blocked roads in Bhopal

Protests are witnessed in Madhya Pradesh against the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Rajputs blocked many district headquarters including Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Dewas, Dhar, Guna and Burhanpur. During this time the protesters also clashed with the police. Their demand is to arrest the killers and encounter them within 24 hours. If the demands are not met, Karni Sena will hold violent protests across the country.

Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead after entering his house in Jaipur on 5 December. Police have identified two accused in the case. Protests are taking place in many states against the murder.

People of Rajput community started gathering at Shivaji Square in MP Nagar, Bhopal from 11 am. Everyone arrived wearing black clothes. They blocked the road while shouting slogans. Started protesting on the road itself. The protest has been going on for two hours. Heavy police force is present at the spot. Police officers are discussing with Karni Sena officials and advising them to move away.

Due to the demonstration, there was a traffic jam at the intersection. The queue of vehicles reached from Chetak Bridge to ISBT. Seeing the situation worsening, the police advised the Karni Sena to move to one side, due to which traffic started on the other side. However, after some time the trains were stopped again. Meanwhile, many passers-by also had an altercation with the Rajput Karni Sena people. Hundreds of vehicles are stuck on both sides due to the jam and people are getting troubled.

Karni Sena burnt tires at the intersection, due to which smoke spread across the area. The police extinguished the tires and removed them from the road. Karni Sena President Krishna Bundela said, Gaurav Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi of Rajput community has been murdered as part of a conspiracy. They were demanding security for a long time. Punjab Police had also promised to provide security to Rajasthan Police, but this did not happen. For this reason Gogamedi was murdered. Today it is closed in Rajasthan. Rajasthan government will not be allowed to take oath until there is an encounter with the killers. Demonstrations are also being held in cities of Madhya Pradesh.

ADM Prakash Singh Chauhan reached the spot and tried to convince the people of Rajput community, but they did not agree. Collector Ashish Singh can also reach the spot, to whom the people of the society will submit a memorandum.
