A mammoth ‘rangoli’ to mark two years of Bhupesh govt

The Chhattisgarh State Women Commission is set to create a world record with a huge rangoli on 9,100 square feet area at BTI Ground here to mark the Congress government’s two years. It will be 130 feet long and 70 feet wide.

Commission Chairperson Kiranmayee Nayak said the rangoli will be on the theme “Chhattisgarh Sarkar ke Do Saal, Bemisal!”.

It will display colors of development of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, a press release said. She said the Commission is trying set a world record. Earlier, preparations were on to make the rangoli in about 7,000 square feet but now it is expected to cover about 10,000 square feet.

To mark two years of the Chhattisgarh government, the Department of Public Relations will hold a photo exhibition from December 17 to 20 at Budha Talab premises in Raipur.

Renowned artist Rikhi Kshatriya from Chhattisgarh will also showcase his cultural art with traditional folk instruments, a press release said. A selfie zone has been created for visitors.
