C’garh government is in coma: Raman

BJP national vice president and former chief minister Raman Singh said the Congress government in the state has gone into coma. The time has come to give a befitting reply to the anti-development government, he added.

“The government is now being identified as one that has betrayed promises made to the people,” the BJP leader said.

Raman Singh was addressing a public rally on Monday, before the party candidate filed nominations for Chitrakot assembly by-poll.

He said people after electing the Congress government is feeling cheated as promises of prohibition, loan waiver, employment to youth, pension hike, unemployment allowance and others were not fulfilled. Now time has come to retort.

Singh said party has lost Dantewada but morale is not down. Party workers with total dedication will work for victory in Chitrakot.

BJP state president Vikram Usendi said the Congress government is spreading rumours by creating sense of fear. “We are standing on strong foothold and unity of workers will ensure victory in Chitrakot,” he pointed out.

Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik flayed the Congress government for not implementing prohibition. “It seems the government has gone back on its promise,” he said.

For the party’s defeat in Dantewada said it was the people who lost as help of Naxalites was taken to influence the result. “The reply will be given in Chitrakot,” he said.

Scheduled Tribe Cell national president Ramvichar Netam and BJP candidate Lachhuram Kashyap also addressed the gathering seeking blessings from people for victory. Several other BJP state and local leaders, including former MLAs, were also present.
