Madhya Pradesh becomes preferred choice of IT industries: CM

Bhopal: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, successful efforts are being made in Madhya Pradesh for attracting investment in electronics and IT sector. Madhya Pradesh’s is one of the best IT Policies in the country. Skill development and excellent basic amenities have been drawing flow of investment towards the state. Madhya Pradesh is the preferred choice of IT companies after Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai etc.

For attracting investment in IT sector, the state government has given concession in land stamp fee, reimbursement of special project cost, relaxation in land use and legal provisions etc. The major IT companies working in Madhya Pradesh include CSC, Impetus, Netlink, SureVin, Aegis, Mphasis, Tata Consultancy, Infosys, Hunka, XtraNet, InfoBeans,
CNet, Firstsource, Sylph Technology, E-Herex Sagacity, New Tech Fusion and Cyber Futuristic.

IT parks are being established at electronics complex Indore, Khandwa Road, Indore and Ganga Malanpur, Gwalior. Besides, IT parks are also proposed at Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior. Formal go-ahead has been given to 12 IT SEZs in the state. Tata Consultancy Services is constructing software development centre in 2 phases at a cost of Rs. 500 crore in Super Corridor, Indore. IT companies are provided benefit of uninterrupted power supply. At present, 536 acre land is available with the IT Department including 112 acres at Sinhasa and 37 acres at Dhankheri in Indore, about 212 acres, 2 kilometers away from the airport in Bhopal, 19 acres at Gadheri in 60 acres at Poorva in Jabalpur.

A network measuring about 24 thousand kilometers has been laid in the state to connect block level in the state. Internet facility will be available to all Gram Panchayats through NOFN-100.

Madhya Pradesh has bagged a number of national awards in IT and e-Governance sectors. These include Skoch Smart Governance Award 2013, CSI Award for Excellence in IT for Complex 2013, CSI Nihilent Award continuously from 2009 to 2013, National Award for e-Governance 2009-10, NASSCOM CNBC TV 18 Award 2009, Manthan Award South Asia 2009 and DARPG, Silver Icon Award 2008.
