Gujjars Postpone March to Jaipur; Delegation to Hold Talks with Govt
To press for their demands of quota in government jobs, Gujjars headed by Kirori Singh Bainsala has decided to send a delegation to hold talks with Rajasthan government, postponing their proposed march to Jaipur, reported PTI.
According to report, an eleven-member committee, which does not include Bainsala, will hold discussions with government in Jaipur.
Gujjars took this decision at a Mahapanchayat held at Gazipur in Dausa district, report said.
“If there comes any viable solution after the meeting, I will go to Jaipur to hold meeting with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot,” Bainsla was quoted as saying.
“Our sit-in is continued at Gazipur, and we at the moment have postponed plan to march to Jaipur and will take decision later accordingly,” he was quoted as saying.
