Implementation of Mukhyamantri Kanyadan and Nikah Yojana through Samagra portal
Bhopal: The state government has decided to implement Mukhyamantri Kanyadan and Nikah Yojana through Samagra portal. Applicants will fill up various sets of information on the application form given on the portal for availing benefit of the scheme.
Madhya Pradesh Social Security Mission has issued detailed guidelines and directives regarding this. Now, Samagra ID of girl and her family and Aadhar number will be registered on the portal for availing benefit of the scheme. Besides, particulars of girl’s caste certificate issued by SDO will also have to be provided apart from her bank account number, name of bank branch, IFSC code, girl’s age certificate and guardian’s mobile number.
The Social Justice Department has directed to implement this scheme through Samagra portal. Now, all marriage progammes held after December 31, 2013 and details of beneficiaries will be uploaded on Samagra portal. Now, couples will get singed marriage certificates downloaded from the portal.
It is noteworthy that under the scheme, financial assistance is provided for marriage of marriageable girls, widows and abandoned women of the poor, destitute and needy families. Now, assistance amount for girls getting married in mass marriage programmes has been increased from Rs. 13 thousand to Rs. 16 thousand for household things. Besides, it has been decided to deposit Rs. 6 thousand in fixed account of concerning girl for 5 years. In this way, every girl getting married under the scheme will get Rs. 22 thousand. Now, Rs. 3 thousand instead of Rs. 2 thousand will be given to organizations holding mass marriage functions. The orders have come into force with effect from January 1, 2014.
