VIT offers to establish international-level institution in state

Bhopal: Chairman of VIT University, Vellore, Dr. G. Vishwanathan called on Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya here today. Giving information about a proposal to establish international-level institution in Madhya Pradesh, he expected cooperation of Madhya Pradesh government in this regard.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that investors are welcome in the state. They will be provided utmost cooperation. He said that Madhya Pradesh government wishes that international-level institutions are established in the state. VIT University Chairman Dr. Vishwanathan informed that 900 students from Madhya Pradesh are studying in the Vellore-based university. Of these, 150 girl and boy students are from Bhopal. Dr. Vishwanathan informed that preliminary preparations have been started for international-level university proposed to be established in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education Smt. Ajita Bajpai Pandey, Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Smt. Aruna Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Manoj Shrivastava, Secretary Shri S.K. Mishra and Secretary Higher Education Shri J.N. Kansotiya were also present on the occasion.
