Mazdoor Panchayat to be held on 1 December

Bhopal: Mazdoor Panchayat will be held at Jamboree Maidan at Bhopal on December 1. About 1 lakh labourers will participate in this mega event. This information was given at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today. Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram was also present at the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to chalk out schemes to ensure overall welfare of labourers. Special attention should be paid to labourer families’ healthcare, education of children, employment etc. while chalking out these schemes. He directed to set up a special cell for making available loans through banks easily to talented children of labourers. Shri Chouhan said that benefits of labour welfare schemes should be extended to labourers and construction of labourers’ shades in cities should be made on priority basis.
It was informed at the meeting that a scheme is being chalked out for labourers’ training and skill development. Plans are also afoot for making available high-quality education from initial stages besides technical and higher education to talented children of labourers.
Principal Secretary Labour Shri Ajay Tirkey, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Manoj Shrivastava and Labour Commissioner Shri Sanjay Dube were also present at the meeting.
