Unite to Get Freedom from Unemployment and Poverty: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged that concerted and united efforts should be made by the government and the people to get rid of unemployment and poverty. He said that everyone should discharge their duties with honesty and dedication. Contribute your best for the development of state and country. He was addressing a programme organized by the Culture Department in the evening of Independence Day at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal yesterday. A photo exhibition titled “Yaad Karo Qurbani” was also organized on the occasion.

Shri Chouhan said that biography of the freedom fighters who laid everything for the freedom of India will be included in the syllabus. He said that we have not been served freedom in silver plate. Freedom is the result of sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, martyrs and revolutionaries and Yaad Karo Qurbani is one of the medium to recollect memories and to pay respect to such great persons. Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that memorials have been constructed to make the memories of martyrs permanent.

Shourya Smamrak has been constructed in Bhopal in memory of over 30 thousand soldiers who laid their lives defending border of our country since Independence, he added. Shri Chouhan said that we should develop passion in our lives for the country as the freedom fighters exhibited in the freedom struggle. We can get the same inspiration from the life of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Chouhan mentioned that the state is progressing with pace. New employment opportunities are being created to eradicate poverty. Besides providing all possible facilities for education, scheme has been prepared by the state government to bear fee of the talented students selected for the premier educational institutions. Lap tops will be given to 18 thousand students who scored 85 percent marks in class 12th examination and smart phones will be given to the college students.

Minister of State for Culture Shri Surendra Patwa said that the Independence Day is the occasion to recollect memories of brave hearts of the country. “Yaad Karo Qurbani” campaign is being organized from August 9 to 23 to freshen up memories of freedom struggle and to apprise youth about the freedom struggle. Tringa Yatras will be set out.

Describing Madhya Pradesh a beautiful state, Padmbhushan Playback Singer Shri Udit Narayan said that CM Shri Chouhan is making every effort to make the state better day by day. He mentioned that the country has earned respect in the entire world under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi.

Vote of thanks was given by the Commissioner Culture Shri Rajendra Prasad Mishra. CM Shri Chouhan welcomed Shri Udit Narayan by presenting Shawl, Shreephal and bouquet. National Song and Madhya Pradesh Gaan were presented by Sushri Suhasini Joshi. Programme was conducted by Sushri Soundarya Garg and Shri Vinay Upadhyaya. Shri Udit Narayan also presented film songs on the occasion.
