Take full cooperation from Central Government in state’s development

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to take full cooperation from Central Government in state’s quick growth. He directed to make preparations regarding issues pending with Centre at the earliest. Shri Chouhan chaired a meeting of ministers and senior administrative officers at Mantralaya here today.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all ministers should ask their departments to prepare on important issues pertaining to state’s development concerning them on which Centre’s cooperation is expected. Departmental ministers should hold meetings on this issue within next three days. Preparations should be made on important schemes pertaining to urban and rural development, drinking water and irrigation in such a way that maximum cooperation can be sought from the Central Government. The Chief Minister along with members of his cabinet will meet the Prime Minister. Ministers will also meet concerning Central Ministers on the issues pertaining to their departments.
The Chief Minister said that suggestions can also be given to the Centre regarding the hurdles experienced by state government during previous years due to which development works were delayed. Information about practical difficulties should also be given. He said that difficulties were faced in environment-related clearances from the Central Government during previous years. Suggestions like fixing 50-50 ratio for labour and material under MNREGA and increase in state’s share in Central taxes may also be given. He directed to ensure immediate action on directives given at departmental review meetings.

Kusum Mahdele, Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, School Education Minister Shri Paras Jain, Transport Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, Minister of State for Tourism Shri Surendra Patwa, Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries were present on the occasion.
