Rs. 14,827 crore sanctioned for 37 new surface water-based group drinking water schemes
Bhopal. A meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today sanctioned estimated cost of Rs. 14 thousand 827 crore for 37 new surface water-based group drinking water schemes. Similarly, sanction of Rs. 3734 crore 87 lakh was granted for 10 revised group drinking water schemes
New surface water-based group drinking water schemes include Gandhi Sagar Group Water Supply Scheme 1 and 2, Mahi, Agar-Malwa, Sanjay Sagar (Nehriai), Sagad (Hinautia Mali), Samnapur-Satdhara (Deori), Kesli, Shahgarh Banda-1 ( Beela dam), Shahgarh Banda-2 (Dhasan), Madia (Rahatgarh-Jaicee Nagar), Rehali, Garhakota, Byarma (Jabera-Tendukhera), Byarma (Damoh- Patera), Bebas-Sunar-1 (Pancham Nagar), Bebas-Sunar-2 (Pagara dam), Bijawar, Bansujara (Bada Malehra), Bakswaha, Kutne (Rajnagar), Pawai Byarma, Bansujara (Tikamgarh and Baldevgarh), Nivari-Prithvipur-1 (Pareechha dam), Nivari-Prithvipur-2 (Nandwar ), Matateela (Basai), Kundalia, Mohanpura, Pahadgarh, Gorakhpura, Payli, Satna-Bansagar (Bhadanpur Parasmania), Kandela, Bandol, Siddhaghat-Sakri Morcha, Sangamghat and Malthon group water supply scheme.
Revised group drinking water schemes are Pawai dam (Shahnagr), Singhaura 2, Majhgai (Bariyarpur), Sanaudha-2, Chakarpur dam (Bina and Khurai, Khimlasa), Lavkush Nagar (Ken / Gaurihar), Parela-Garauli (Dhasan), Kundam-1 Raghavpur dam (Kundam/Mehadwani), Karanpura-1 and Indwar-1.
Through these group piped drinking water schemes, every family will be supplied through taps 70 litres water per day. About 1.47 crore population in 13 thousand 316 villages will benefit from these schemes. Construction firm will operate and maintain the projects for 20 years. Responsibility of filing water tanks in villages everyday will also lie with the firm. Concerning village drinking water sub-committee will operate distribution of water inside village and recover charges.
The cabinet decided to extend additional benefits under packages for land acquisition for Mohanpura project and all under construction projects of Water Resources Department (Except Pench project).
The cabinet endorsed decision to determine Ministers’ annual discretionary fund at Rs. 50 lakh and Ministers of States Rs. 35 lakh.
The cabinet allowed filling of 6 out of 12 vacancies of 25 percent promotion posts in Sports & Youth Welfare Department through direct recruitment only once.
The Cabinet endorsed decision to give one percent more i.e. 6 percent annual subsidy for maximum 7 years to women entrepreneurs under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana.
The cabinet decided to give margin money of Rs. 3 lakh instead of Rs. 2 lakh or 30 percent capital investment under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana to entrepreneurs belonging to de-notified, nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes. The cabinet sanctioned margin money of Rs. one lakh or 20 percent of project cost under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana through Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department to Bhopal’s gas-affected families’ beneficiaries on fulfilling all eligibility criteria.
The cabinet sanctioned state government’s guarantee for Rs. 600 crore short-term loans to be available by state’s power distribution companies from Power Finance Corporation, New Delhi. As working capital, all 3 power distribution companies will be provided Rs. 200 crore each.
