Period of keeping all districts including Jabalpur under “C” category to be increased by 3 years

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to increase period for keeping all the districts in the state including Jabalpur under “C” category by three years once more. The Chief Minister also announced to remove hurdles in development and expansion of Jabalpur airport, set up a multi-storey factory premises at Richhai in Jabalpur, provide special facilities to micro and small women entrepreneurs for marketing of their products and develop a new industrial complex for readymade clothes at Jabalpur.
Shri Chouhan was addressing the inaugural function of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs conference at Jabalpur today. As many as 62 MoUs worth Rs. 945 crore were signed at the conference. Of these, 13 MoUs were signed in the presence of the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that apart from big industries, the government wishes to promote small industries also in the state. He said that the objective behind holding divisional MSME conferences is to redress problems being faced by such entrepreneurs in setting up industries and increase employment opportunities in the state.
The Chief Minister said that now Madhya Pradesh has joined the states, which present budgets worth over one lakh crore. Reiterating the promise to supply 24-hour power throughout the state from May this year, he said that the State Government wishes that small industries are set up in all the villages and markets of the world are glutted by the products made in Madhya Pradesh. He said that Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojna has been chalked out to assist youths to set up self-employment and industries. Under the scheme, loans of Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 25 lakh will be made available through banks. Its loan guarantee will be given by the State Government and 5 percent interest subsidy will also be borne by it for initial 5 years.
Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi gave credit to the Chief Minister for increasing state’s growth rate from 4 percent to 12 percent and agriculture growth rate to 19 percent.
Principal Secretary Industries Shri P.K. Dash said that 62 MoUs worth Rs. 945 crore have been signed today. Establishment of these industries will provide jobs to estimated 8000 persons. He informed that single-window system has been introduced in the state for the convenience of entrepreneurs.
Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Chairman Shri Akhand Pratap Singh, Industries Federation Chairman Shri Narendra Somaiyya, Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce Chairman Shri Prem Dube, Mahakaushal Chamber of Commerce Chairman Shri Ravi Gupta and Madhya Pradesh Small Industries Federation President Shri Yogesh Tamrakar put forth their views about development of small industries in detail.
