Over Rs. 2937 Crore approved for Four Irrigation Projects

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over the cabinet meeting here today. An amount of Rs. 2937 crore 39 lakh 33 thousand have been approved for four irrigation projects in the cabinet meeting. These four projects will facilitate irrigation in 95 thousand 730 hectare land.

Administrative sanction of Rs. 228 crore 11 lakh is given for the medium lift irrigation project Bham (Rajgarh) of district Khandwa for 6,100 hectare command area. Rs. 93 crore 61 thousands revised administrative sanction of Bankpura small irrigation project of Rajgarh district for Rabi irrigation in 1990 hectare land. Similarly, a third revised administrative sanction of Rs. 2544 crore 57 lakh have been given for Pench diversion project of Chhindwara district for Rabi irrigation in 85000 hectare land. Moreover, a revised administrative sanction of Rs. 71 crore 70 lakh 72 thousand is given for Khargone district’s Kharak irrigation projects of 2640 hectare total command area.

Moreover, approval has been given by the cabinet for establishment of Industry and Employment directorate under the Commerce, Industry and Employment Department by the cabinet. Sanction has been given to create a new post of commissioner industries and employment service in the form of Head of Departmental. Besides sanction to create 51 posts of computer operators by surrendering 51 posts of Assisitant grade-3 for this directorate is also given.

Cabinet has given sanction to create a total of 105 posts which includes 21 posts of contractual teacher Cat-2 (contractual Superintendent), 63 posts of category 4 employees and 21 posts of cleaning staff (hourly rated) after establishment of 21pre matric hostels for the year 2015-16 at the school level in order to continue pre- matric education of schedule tribe students.

Cabinet has also given sanction for construction of 3 new sports complex for the students of schedule tribe category, 20 pre matric and 20 post matric hostels, building construction for 65 girl’s education campus and creation of posts and building construction for establishment of 4 model residential schools at division head quarter and operation of model Eklavya residential school.

Further, while upgrading 40 middle schools to high schools, cabinet has given sanction for 40 posts of principals, 240 posts of contractual school teacher category – 2, 40 posts of contractual school teacher category – 3, 40 posts of assistant grade – 3 with computer knowledge and 40 posts of peons, a total of 400 posts.

Cabinet has also ratified increase in the time period of Madhya Pradesh State Varishtha Nagrik Kalyan Ayog and Rajya Samanya Nirdhan Varg Kalyan Ayog till March 31, 2017.

Also a revised administrative sanction of Rs. 39 crore 11 lakh 83 thousand 957 has given by the cabinet for Gormi- Udotgarh road. This 16.77 K.M. road was constructed at state highway 19under the B.O.T scheme.

Cabinet has decided to announce to make new main district roads, a total of 7989 K.M. of 151 alignment of new state roads and new district roads which includes 24 alignment roads of 3778 K.M. length, new state highways and 127 alignment roads of total 4211.36 K.M. length as new main district roads.

Moreover, cabinet has given its approval for creation of 7 posts in Madhya Pradesh Road development corporation which includes 2 posts of chief engineer, 2 posts of deputy general manager technical, 2 posts of general manager technical, one post of deputy general manger finance and one post of legal advisor.

Cabinet has decided for restructuring of cabinet committee constituted to deliberate over the cases for providing government land to the beneficiaries of weaker and low income group for building – land development. After the restructuring, Minister for Finance and Commercial Taxes Shri Jayant Malaiyya, Minister for Revenue Shri Umashankar Gupta and Minister for Urban Development and Housing Smt. Maya Singh will be included in this committee as members.

Construction of mini stadium at Baroda of Sheopur and establishment of boxing day boarding center at Gwalior have been sanctioned by the cabinet.

Cabinet has decided to appoint Smt. Sweeti Martin w/o Late Shri Bablu Martin resident of Maihar district Satna at Tribal Boys hostel, Maihar district Satna at the vacant post of grade 4 employee. Announcement was made by the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan on August 21 in this regard during his visit to the flood affected areas of Maihar. It may be mentioned that Shri Bablu lost his life while making efforts to save lives of people from sudden collapse of residential cum commercial building constructed by Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Board at Maihar.

Moreover, cabinet has decided to sign MoU with the National Mineral Development Corporation and Manganese Oar India in order to increase minerals’ revenue and employment in the mineral sector. MoU will be signed by directorate of geology and mining and state mining corporation.
