One lakh teachers to be recruited soon in Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister

Shivpuri: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that process would soon be set in motion to recruit one lakh teachers for improving quality of education and providing jobs to educated youths. Shri Chouhan was addressing people at Antyodaya Mela at Narwar in Shivpuri district today. On the occasion, he distributed assistance worth over Rs. 19 crore to 17 thousand 647 crore under various schemes. In-charge minister of the district Shri Kanhaiyalal Agrawal was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is making concrete efforts for making jobs available to maximum number of youths. The upper age limit for government service has been increased by five years, which will benefit educated unemployed youths. He said that besides Industrial Training Institutes, Skill Development Centres have also been set up in the state with a view to impart training to youths in various trades. The youths trained at these institutions will get jobs in industries easily. The government will give bank guarantee to youths who wish to establish self-employment. He said that under the MoUs signed at the recent Indore Global Investors Summit, industries and trades worth Rs. 111 crore will be set up in Shivpuri district. Minimum 50 percent jobs in these industries will be provided to locals. Shri Chouhan said that a new industrial corridor will be developed between Morena and Guna.
Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is making committed efforts to make agriculture profitable. Farmers have been given facility of loan on zero percent interest and Rs. 100 per quintal bonus on procurement of paddy and wheat. He said that housing pattas will be made available to the poor. Education loan at zero percent interest will be given to families with upto Rs. 4.50 lakh annual income.
Referring to various social development schemes, the Chief Minister urged people not to discriminate between sons and daughthers.
The Chief Minister announced to develop Narwar as a tourist destination and establish a college over there from the next academic session.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of construction works costing over Rs. 52 crore 16 lakh. The exhibition put up by the Public Relations Department was centre of attraction for the people. Health of about 850 patients was examined and medicines distributed to them at a health camp organised on the occasion.
