Office of Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare in each district from July

Bhopal. The State Government is going to start offices of Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare in each district from the current month. Orders for posting of Assistant Director and Inspectors at each such office are going to be issued soon. In the districts, these offices will be known as Office of the Assistant Director, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare. The State Government has directed all the District Collectors to start these offices.
These offices are being set up at reserved places in districts. Clerical and accounts-level officials are already posted over there. The government has directed the collectors that the charge of each office should be assigned to anyone officers from among Assistant Commissioner/District Coordinator SC, ST Welfare or any other officer already posted over there and start the office immediately. Information should be given to the government immediately by the districts which have already started such an office.
These offices will carry out works under Late Ramji Mahajan Service Awards Scheme, accepting applications for pre-exam training centres, works related to district committees of Backward Classes Commission, Minorities Commission and Wakf Board, action of the decisions of Backward Classes State Advisory Board, Employment Guarantee Scheme for educated youths, acceptance of applications for scholarships, admission in backward classes post-matric boys and girls hostels, Talented Students’ Scholarship Scheme, backward classes pre and post-matric scholarships, backward classes Student Home Scheme, Pareeksha Protsahan Yojna, preparation of cases under Mukhyamantri Pichhada Varg Evam Alpsankhyak Swa-rozgar Yojna, lamination of documents of students belonging to backward classes, grants to churches and dargahs, pre-exam coaching for professional examinations, minorities pre and post-matric scholarships, Minorities Girls Hostels, Minorities Merit-cum-Means Scholarship and Minorities Service State Awards etc.
Besides, these offices will also carry out responsibilities assigned to them from time to time by the government, commissioner and collector.
