More facilities to be given to job-giving industries: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it would be ensured under industrial policy that more facilities are given to job-giving industries. A drive will be launched in the state for linking farming with employment. Industries should be promoted along with agriculture to transform Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister was addressing workers at state hangar after returning from visit to Japan and South Korea here today. He said that Madhya Pradesh will be made one of the best states in the world. For this, work will be done in road, power, water and infrastructure sectors.

The Chief Minister said that the state government stands by farmers in their hour of crisis. Farmers need not worry. Crisis will be dealt with successfully like last time. If needed, remaining works would be stopped to save farmers from despair. Agriculture is among top priorities of the state government. Last year, grants worth Rs. 12 thousand crore was given to farmers for various facilities. Now, farmers will be given loans at -10 percent interest rate. The state has adequate stock of seeds and fertilisers. Rabi crop will not be allowed to suffer through better irrigation management.

The Chief Minister said that stress will be laid in the state on food processing and value addition of agriculture products. Many Japanese companies have evinced interest in this. A network of small industries will be laid to generate employment at a rapid pace in addition to agriculture. This time, loans will be given to 60 thousand youths under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana. Countries like Japan, Korea and China have progressed by expanding industries. Madhya Pradesh will also move towards this direction. Prime Minister Shri Modi has launched Make in India Campaign. No stone will be left unturned to develop industries side by side agriculture.

MP and State BJP President Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan said in the welcome address that investors’ interest in Madhya Pradesh has increased. Work is being done on all aspects of development. Chief Minister’s Japan-Korea visit will be fruitful for the state.
