Investors highly enthusiastic following Japan-Korea visit

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that investors are highly enthusiastic following his Japan-Korea visit. He directed officers should be positive and pro-active to ensure implementation of the investment propsals. Soon after returning from Japan-Korea visit, the Chief Minister directed higher officers for prompt action in this regard. Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa also attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that necessary and prompt action should be undertaken to concretise investment proposals. Concerning departments should make contact with investors at the earliest. Besides, effective live contact should also be maintained. They should work to meet investors’ requirements and expectations with positive frame of mind. Investors have option of other countries also. Proposals should be followed up speedily. Its regular information should be made available to CM’s Secretariat and Commerce & Industries Department.

The Chief Minister said that there is global competition for investment. Information should be collected as to which facilities are being provided to investors by countries like China and Vietnam. He said that single window system should be strengthened further practically. Effective steps should be made for coordination between various policies.

The Chief Minister said that along with extending facilities to foreign investors, efforts should also be made to strengthen local entrepreneurs. Shri Chouhan said that pressure of population on agriculture should be reduced. Citing example of South Korea’s prosperity, he informed that it was a poor country when dependent on agriculture. It is the result of government’s support to entrepreneurs of tourism, commerce and industry sectors that per capita income of South Korea is 36 thousand dollars.

Shri Chouhan asked officers to work with passion and dedication for economic progress of the state. Those working positively with clean intention will be supported and cooperated with. He said that state has a team of excellent officers. Only mindset should change. Situations change by working with sense of collective responsibility.

The Chief Minister informed officers about interaction with investors, administrators, managers, entrepreneurs and businessmen during his visit and about their expectations. He directed officers of concerning departments for implementing investment proposals within time-limit.
