Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Scheme to be implemented for MSME

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Scheme will be implemented for micro, small and medium industries in the state. Under Madhya Pradesh Land Management Rules, 90 percent concession will be given in prescribed rates for allotment of upto 5000 square feet plots to MSMEs. The Chief Minister was addressing Yuva Udyami Sammelan at his residence here today. Commerce & Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and CEO of Snapdeal Shri Kunal Bahal were specially present on the occasion. About one thousand young entrepreneurs having set up industries under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana participated in the convention.

The Chief Minister said that a new Madhya Pradesh will be carved out by laying a network of small and cottage industries in the state. For developing clusters as MSMEs, 15 industrial areas costing Rs. 10 crore are being developed. In all industrial areas in the state, 20 percent land has been reserved for micro and small industries. They are given 15 percent capital subsidy and 5 percent interest subsidy. Electricity connections are provided at reduced rates. A Rs. 100 crore Venture Capital Fund has been instituted to help small entrepreneurs for start-up companies. Registration process for these entrepreneurs has been simplified and made online.

The Chief Minister said that attention will have to be paid to industries side by side agriculture to make Madhya Pradesh pioneer state in the country. Apart from major industries, young entrepreneurs are being promoted with capital investment. State government is inculcating quality of entrepreneurship in youths. For this, Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana has been implemented under which upto Rs. one crore loan is made available to young entrepreneurs. This year, one thousand such entrepreneurs have been raised in the state. He told youths that nothing is impossible with firm determination. Humility and patience are key to success. Refusal to accept defeat in any situation and continuous hard work are mantras of success. He exhorted them to keep updating techniques in their respective fields. They should not consider this success as destination, but a milestone. He (the Chief Minister) is available every Monday if they have any difficulty.

Commerce & Industries Minister Smt. Scindia said that youths should become self-reliant and motivate others. The state government will extend every possible assistance to them in skill development. Citing examples of some young entrepreneurs, she said that if youths wish, they can provide jobs to others by becoming entrepreneurs.

CEO of Snapdeal Shri Bahal told young entrepreneurs that Madhya Pradesh has given opportunity to them through Yuva Udyami Yojana. Such a scheme exists in very few states of the country. They should avail its maximum benefit. Narrating success story of Snapdeal company’s growth, he said that he succeeded in sixth business model after tasting failure continuously for 5 times. He asked youths to give ear to voice of inner self and act accordingly. Through this, they will leave their imprint on society. They should remember that progress is when today is better than yesterday. There is no way out but to work hard for success. Always think big and never give in. He said that he would make available online forum to products of young entrepreneurs of Madhya Pradesh.

Principal Secretary Commerce & Industries Shri Mohammad Suleman informed about achievements of the scheme during one year. Young entrepreneurs Shri Anil Dangi, Smt. Meenaxi Dwivedi, Shri Ajay Parmar, Shri Aziz Ansari, Shri Gaurav Goyal and Smt. Ranjana Verma shared their experiences. The Chief Minister released booklet of guidance and directory for young entrepreneurs. He awarded Neemuch, Ashok Nagar, Narsinghpur, Burhanpur and Jabalpur districts for excellent performance under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana. A short film on the scheme was also screened.

MLAs Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha and Shri Suraj Prakash, Principal Secretary to CM Shri S.K. Mishra, TRIFAC MD Shri D.P. Ahuja, CGM of State Bank of India Shri Riten Ghosh and regional officers of various banks were present on the occasion. Commissioner Industries Shri V.L. Kanta Rao proposed a vote of thanks.
