1.50 lakh EWS houses constructed in private sector to be allotted soon

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that process to allot 1.50 EWS houses constructed in private sector for economically weaker sections will be completed in next 3 months. Automotive building permission system will come into force in a week. Colonizers will have to obtain only one licence for rural and urban areas. Process of granting permissions and sanctions by development authorities will also be simplified. Remaining decisions under Ease of Doing Business will also be implemented soon. Shri Chouhan was holding discussions with representatives of real estate here today.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to providing pucca houses to 37 lakh families. He invited private sector to extend cooperation in this efforts in win-win condition. He said that single window system for investors in real estate will be made more effective. Under housing policy, efforts will also be made for partnership of private sector. He said that future of real estate sector lies in high-rise buildings. He stressed the need to identify places for high-rise buildings while conserving special identity of Bhopal. Shri Chouhan said that fast growth of real estate will lead to rise in employment. The government will extend effective cooperation to private sector.

Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that necessary rules are being formulated for planned development of rural areas nearby major cities. Efforts have also been made to remove discrepancies. He urged private sector to cooperate in efforts to make available houses to the poor.

Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh said that the state government is committed to ensure balanced development. Effective arrangements have been made to ensure that rules are enforced uniformly everywhere.

Shri Digambar of CREDAI, Chairman of Bhaskar Group Shri Ramesh Agrawal and Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Shri Malay Shrivastava also spoke on the occasion. Commissioner Urban Development and Environment Shri Vivek Agrawal, Commissioner Town and Country Planning Shri Gulshan Bamra and representatives of real estate from Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore and other cities were present on the occasion.
