Firing in Datia, 5 killed: Dispute between two groups over driving away cattle, 8 injured

 

Five people died in firing between two groups in Datia. The matter is of Reda village of the district. Here on Wednesday morning, two parties came face to face over driving away cattle from the fields. 8 people are said to be injured.

Injured Gyan Singh Pal told that there was a dispute with the Dangi community regarding driving away the cattle and during talks for pacifying the issue people opened fire. I have been shot in the leg. After some time I became unconscious.

Barauni SDOP Vinayak Shukla has reached the hospital. The case is being investigated.

After the incident, Chambal Range IG Sushant Saxena and SP Pradeep Sharma inspected the spot. SP Pradeep Sharma said that two days ago both the parties had given applications in the police station regarding the dispute.

After this, this morning about 25 people gathered 100 meters away from the village for reconciliation. During this time firing took place. Police have rounded up 50 people.

Prakash Dangi (father Bhaiyalal Dangi), Surendra Dangi (father Prakash Dangi), Ramnaresh Dangi (father Bhaiyalal Dangi), Rajendra Pal (father Pritam Pal) and Raghavendra Pal (father Thakur Das Pal) have died in the incident.

Police have just revealed the names of three injured. Gyan Singh (father Lalaram Pal), Thakurdas (father Ramcharan Pal) and Mukesh (father Sirnam) are injured.
