Ensure concrete arrangements for swine flu treatment: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to make available adequate quantity of Temiflu medicine for treatment of swine flu in authorised hospitals. Shri Chouhan gave these directives while chairing a meeting of the coordination committee for control over swine flu here today. Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and members of the committee attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that concrete arrangements should be made for treatment of every swine flu patient at authorised hospitals. Treatment should be started immediate if a patient has symptoms of swine flu. Private and government hospital should work like a team to deal with swine flu, work with humane attitude and mutual cooperation. Sample reports of patients should be sent directly to concerning hospitals. Medicines should be stored in hospital in adequate quantity. Treatment of swine flue should be reviewed daily. PPA kits and masks should be made available to hospital supporting staff looking after swine flu patients.
It was informed at the meeting that Temiflu medicine for treatment of swine flu is being stored in adequate quantity in authorised hospitals. Patients reporting at all authorised centres are being examined. Effect of this disease weaken in bright sunshine. Principal Secretary Health Shri Praveer Krishna, Principal Secretary Medical Education Shri Ajay Tirkey, Principal Secretary to CM Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and representatives of private medical institutions were present on the occasion.
