e-registration of properties from July 1 in entire states

Bhopal: System of e-registration of documents of property will be introduced in entire state from July 1. Along with district headquarters, the system will also be started in offices of all Sub-Registrars. Following implementation of the scheme, documentation of property will be done through e-registration system “Sampada”. Registration will be optional for properties which are not mandatory under Registration Act 1908.

It is noteworthy that the scheme was implemented from December 15, 2014 in Anuppur, Balaghat, Sehore, Tikamgarh and Ujjain districts of the state on pilot basis. As many as 14 thousand 235 e-registrations of property have been made in these districts so far. Physical registration has been abolished completely in these districts. Maximum 7258 e-registrations have been made in Ujjain, Sehore 2014, Anuppur 1128, Tikamgarh 1393 and 2316 e-registrations have been made in Balaghat district.

Through these e-registrations, the government has received revenue worth Rs. 64 crore 73 lakh from e-stamps. Status of e-registrations in the state is updated every half an hour.

Any person can check the valuation of his property by clicking “Sampada” on www.mpigr.gov.in. The valuation is in accordance with concerning district’s collector guideline. Information about bank loan and applicable duty can also be availed.

Benefits

Under e-Registration system, people will not have to wander about to get stamp papers from stamp vendors and treasury. Work can be accomplished by obtaining e-Stamp through internet banking or service provider. As a result there would be no shortage of stamps anywhere.

Under e-Registration system, anyone may obtain information about market value of his property and stamp and registration fee to be payable on its purchase/sale through internet.

Besides, information about registry at any place in the state can be obtained through search and a copy of it downloaded online. As a result, a property cannot be sold twice fraudulently. The department is also undertaking process to make available online information about quantum of loan extended by banks on properties.

Satellite mapping

With the cooperation of Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology, maps have been digitized in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain. This will help in physical verification of properties and their actual position. This will also eliminate tax evasion.

e-registration documents will have digital signature of Sub-Registrar. Document will be taken out on optical watermark having criptomark, micro printing and Unique Number.
