e-copies of Khasras to be provided from 1st January

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that e-copies of Khasras will be given from January 1. Copy of khasra can be obtained from any public service centre. System of taking affidavit for 20-25 works will be abolished in the state. Shri Chouhan was addressing people after inaugurating Sushasan Bhavan on the occasion of Public Service Day here today. The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 crore.
The programme was telecast live at all development block headquarters in the state. Pubic Service Management Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, Agriculture Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen, MP Shri Alok Sanjar, large number of operators of public service centres and officers linked to the Act were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has strived to establish rule of the people in the real sense. It has opened door of administration for people. The state government has done such revolutionary works as Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act, Mukhyamantri Helpline, establishment of public service centres, public hearing and Samadhan Online. Madhya Pradesh is the first state to impose fine on the staff not delivering service within time-limit.
He said that the state government has tried to follow footsteps of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay. He said that he has learned basics of good governance from Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and made innovations in various sectors on its basis. It is the result of these efforts that major investors of the country taking part in Make In India programme described Madhya Pradesh as most suitable for investment.
He informed that efforts have been made to solve common people’s problems over telephone through CM Helpline. He himself talks to 5 c allers to get the feedback. Response of about 99 percent persons is positive. Shri Chouhan said that process is on to streamline the system further. In coming days, arrangements will be made to remove the discrepancy of repeated applications for getting names included in BPL list. Describing Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis as think-tank of state government’s innovations, he asked it to work with more dedication. He extended greetings of Navratri to those present at the function. The Chief Minister gave away 35 public service awards. He unveiled logo of State Public Service Agency.
Public Service Management Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh said that Madhya Pradesh government is committed to take administration to people. Resolve to benefit poorest of the poor is visible in its every scheme and programme. Madhya Pradesh has promulgated an effective and novel law named Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act, which has drawn widespread encomiums. The Union Government is also contemplating to implement it.
Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa said that a new work culture has been created by Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act in the state. Through public service centres, over 75 lakh applications have been disposed of within time-limit. Director General Shri I.S. Dani said that the institute is the symbol of state government’s commitment to good governance. It gives suggestions to the state government for desired improvements in schemes and programmes.
In the welcome address, Secretary Information Technology Shri Hari Ranjan Rao informed that Public Service Awards will be given away every year to directors of public service centres and officers connected with Act’s implementation. He informed that outstanding performers have been awarded at the programme for last 2 years. State Public Service Agency’s Executive Director Smt. Swati Meena proposed a vote of thanks. Shri Sudhir Kochar conducted the proceedings.
