Devotional Send Off Given to Lord Shree Ganesha
Bhopal. Idol of Lord Shree Ganesha installed at Chief Minister House was immersed with devotion and traditional gaiety and fervor at local Prempura ghat today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s wife Smt. Sadhana Singh, PWD Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Mayor Shri Alok Sharma, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Shri Surjeet Singh Chouhan, Family Members and devotees took part in the procession.
The procession ceremony started from CM house reached Prempura ghat passing Polytechnic square, Roshanpura, New market, T.T.Nagar, Rangmahal square. Jawahar chowk, Katsi, Platinum park, Mata mandir, Sanjay complex square, Aradhana nagar, Vaishali square, Kamla nagar police station and Nehru nagar square. Devotees dropped flowers all along the way and expressed their devotion while reciting Jaikaare of Ganpati Bappa Moraya. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan himself recited the Ganpati bhajans all along the way.
CM Shri Chouhan with all the traditional rituals performed pooja and aarti of Lord Ganesha idol amidst ‘Ganpati Bappa Moraya’ slogans at Prempura ghat. He immersed the idol of Lord Ganesha in the pious Jal Kund prepared by the municipal corporation. Prasad was also distributed among the devotees on the occasion.
Shri Chouhan said that Lord Shree Ganesha is a Siddhi Vinayak. Lord of Wisdom. I prayed to the Lord Ganesha that we all should take the virtuous path. While discharging our duties with utmost honesty, we should serve for the progress of the state and the country. Moreover, I prayed that prosperity, happiness, unity, peace and affinity prevail everywhere. Also people should possess spiritual powers besides physical goals.
