Development Authority to be constituted at Pithampur: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Pithampur is a major industrial area in the state with immense potential of industrial investment. A Development Authority will be constituted at Pithampur to further develop the area. The Chief Minister was addressing an Antyodaya Mela at Pithampur in Dhar district today. Shri Chouhan said that a state level convention will soon be held at Bhopal to economically empower self-help groups.

The Chief Minister said that 15 lakh houses will be constructed in the state in next 3 years. He said that the state government is functioning in accordance with concept of social justice. Reservation policy will continue in the state.

The Chief Minister announced to upgrade Government Girls College, Dhar to post-graduate college from next session, Dhar Haat on lines of Bhopal Haat at Dhar, install statue of Raja Bhoj and develop Abhiviyakti Chowk etc. He said that Dhar will be made number one district of the state.

The Chief Minister dedicated and laid foundation stones of 113 development works costing Rs. 477 crore. Over 40 thousand persons were benefited by government schemes at Antyodaya Mela. Material, cheques and sanction letters of total Rs. 64 crore were distributed to beneficiaries. Various government departments put up an exhibition at Mela venue.

Zila Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Malti Mohan Patel, MP Smt. Savitri Thakur, former Minister Shri Vikram Verma, MLAs Smt. Neena Vikram Verma, Shri Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Smt. Ranjana Baghel, Shri Kalu Singh Thakur and Shri Vel Singh Bhuria were present on the occasion.
