Chinese investment companies to visit Madhya Pradesh soon

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that mutual understanding in China towards Madhya Pradesh has increased. So far, names of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat were among pioneer states. Now, Madhya Pradesh is also being recognised as one of the most convenient states for investment. Mutual understanding between India and China will increase and ties will be cemented further.

Shri Chouhan was addressing the media after return from his 6-day visit to China here today. He said that due to visits to China by President Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, mutual understanding between both countries has increased and new relations have been developed. Mutual ties are getting stronger. Shri Chouhan said that there must be mutual dialogue between states of both India and China. Investment ties should also be increased.

Elaborating on this visit, the Chief Minister said that the visit under exchange programme between Indian Ministry of External Affairs and International Department Centre Committee of Communist Party of China turned out to be highly successful. He said that discussions were also held on dialogue between BJP and Communist Party of China. Detailed discussions were also held with Chambers of Commerce of Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Regarding opposition of China regarding entry of India in NSG, Shri Chouhan said that in view of Indian market, China keen on ties with India. He said that rounds of discussions have also started at Chinese government level. Both countries have their own national interests. China wishes to alleviate poverty of 5.5 crore people. He stressed the need for visits of people of both countries to China and India. Referring to his meetings with Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Shri Song Tao and the Secretariat of the Communist Party and a member of the Political Bureau Shri Zhao Leji, the Chief Minister said that discussions were held on possibilities of ties with Madhya Pradesh. Discussions were held on academic exchange of students and mutual cooperation between Chambers of Commerce. He informed that about 175 companies took part in commercial seminar. While on way back to India, an agreement was signed in Hong Kong by Indian Chamber of Commerce for promoting Hong Kong as partner of Global Investors Summit-2016.

Companies to visit Madhya Pradesh

The Chief Minister said that major company manufacturing semiconductor fab and electronic goods BOI Industries is impressed by industrial atmosphere of the state and evinced interest to invest in semiconductor fab manufacturing. He said that this company has held discussions with IT Department. Its delegation will visit the state soon. China’s leading machine manufacturing company Sany Group is going to invest $1 billion in Madhya Pradesh. Sany Group will invest in 500 MW wind energy sector and industrial infrastructure building. During the visit, the Chief Minister informed interested companies about Global Investors Summit to be held at Indore.

The Chief Minister informed that an MoU has been signed with Sany Group to set up 500 MW wind energy units at a cost of Rs. 6700 crore. Besides, an agreement has been signed between Jianxi Department of Commerce and Indian Federation of Industries to promote Global Investors Summit-2016 in China.
