CBI caught Chief Law Assistant of Railways accepting bribe in Bhopal

The Chief Law Assistant of Railways, who was caught taking bribe by CBI, had asked for Rs 20,000 from an employee of the department posted in Bhopal in exchange for getting two chargesheets diluted in CAT and after a deal of Rs 15,000, he was caught taking bribe. Now CBI is investigating this matter.

According to the FIR registered by the CBI, Sushil Joshi had reached the CBI office on January 8 and given a written complaint that Chief Law Assistant Aadhar Singh posted in the DRM office, Bhopal, was making an illegal demand of Rs 20,000 from him. For this, they are being asked to transfer money to their UPI number and in return they are being asked to dilute the case going on in CAT. After verifying this, CBI caught Aadhar Singh taking bribe late on Tuesday night and registered an FIR and started investigation.

The CBI report said that this bribe was demanded from Joshi by Aadhar Singh in two cases of the year 2022. In this case, Ajay Kumar Dixit, Senior DPO, who was previously posted here, had handed over a unilateral charge sheet to Joshi without listening to Joshi’s side. After this now Aadhar Singh was demanding bribe. Therefore, Joshi complained to CBI for not paying bribe and after this further action was taken. Now CBI is separately collecting information about the income and assets of Aadhar Singh, details of which will be given in the charge sheet of the case in which he was caught taking bribe. Other cases against Aadhar Singh are also being investigated by the CBI.
