Cancer treatment facilities expanded in state

Bhopal: Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has said that the government is constantly expanding cancer treatment facilities in Madhya Pradesh. Private institutions are also cooperating in it. Cancer specialists are imparting training to government doctors which will benefit cancer patients. Dr. Mishra was inaugurating a 2-day workshop on cancer here today.

The Minister said that chemotherapy for cancer treatment is being provided in 42 district hospitals in the state. The facility will also be available soon in remaining 9 district hospitals. The Minister described as important the information given by Dr. Dinesh Pendarkar associated with American Clinical Oncology Conference and other experts.

Doctors of district hospitals, cancer doctors and a number of cancer specialists from the country attended the workshop.
