Campaign to be launched to promote cashless transaction in all districts: CM

Bhopal. A campaign will be launched in all districts to promote cashless transaction in the state. Public awareness campaign will be launched in all districts for this. This is only measure to abolish economy of black money. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued instructions to all district collectors through video conference today.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that people will be imparted training and made aware of cashless transaction in the campaign. Necessary arrangements will be made for public awareness, training and cashless transaction. He said that collectors will lead the campaign in their district concerned. Tax base will be increased because of it and irregularities will be removed. Madhya Pradesh will be a leading state in the campaign launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Target should be set with starting the work. Students will be made master trainers in the campaign.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that traders, emploeyees-officers and common public should be imparted training for cashless transaction. District administration will hold camp to distribute RuPay cards to Jan Dhan scheme account holders. Presence of Panch-Sarpanch should be ensured in camps. Camps will be held for opening of bank accounts of labour of non-organised sector and provide them RuPay cards. Training camps will be organised for traders and farmers in mandis. All government payments will be made online. Campaign will be launched to install PoS machines in shops of traders. Awareness campaign should be launched regarding payment through mobile. Monitor availability of cash in all ATMs. PoS machines should be introduced at fair price shops, shop of seeds and fertilizers and medical stores. PoS machines should be installed for payment of school fee, wage payment to labourers and payment of fee for services to be provided by state government, at religious places and tourist spots. All officers make their subordinates undergo training. Take benefit from promotion scheme of NITI Ayog. Ten best districts will be awarded for performing excellent to promote cashless transaction by Ayog.

During the video conference, information was given about preparations for promoting cashless transaction by reserve bank and State level bankers coordinating committee. It was informed that 40-50 lakh debit -RuPay cards will be distributed next month by banks. Pre-paid cards are available in enough number in banks for non-organised sector. Information was also given about works done for cashless transaction in Sagar, Bhopal, Indore and Shivpuri districts. Chief Secretary Shri BP Singh and senior administrative officers were present during the meeting.

Rs 4400 crore of crop insurance for farmers

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Rs 4400 crore would be deposited in farmers’ bank account on December 10. All districts organise programme for this. State level programme will be held in Ujjain. He said programme should be organised in systematic manner. It was informed that Chief Minister’s address to be given in state level programme will be broadcast directly on December 10 at 1.15 pm in all districts. Sanction letter of crop insurance amount and agriculture equipment will be distributed in the programme. Information about Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, new technology for agriculture and roadmap for doubling agriculture income will be given there.
