Sanchi University brings the Asian countries close

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described the humble initiative of setting up Sanchi University of Buddhist and Indic Studies an attempt to bring the civilizations of Asian countries closer. He said that it will promote cross-pollination of ideas between ancient Indian thought and thriving Buddhist culture in various countries of Asia.
In his letter to General Secretary, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Shri Vaiko, Shri Chouhan urged him to regard the event as a constructive step towards promoting peace and harmony across countries of Asia and call off the protest. Shri Chouhan requested Shri Vaiko to see this as a non-political event.
Shri Chouhan said that in order to set up a truly international university for achieving the desired goals, invitations had been sent to Heads of States and dignitaries from Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Mangolia, Cambodia, Nepal etc. The Prime Minister of Bhutan and President of Sri Lanka have accepted our invitation for foundation laying ceremony of The Sanchi University of Buddhist and Indic Studies.
Referring to close friendship and contribution of Shri Vaiko to the political and social fabric of India, Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh and BJP stand firmly for the human rights as enshrined in the Indian Constitution and United Nations Declarations of Human Rights. He said that State Government’s support and sympathy shall always lie with the countrymen including Tamils living within India or foreign countries. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party and the State Government have stood for universal human rights and are committed for firm action and speedy relief wherever there has been a violation.
