People want their ‘bure din’ back, demonetisation is like a scam: Aditya Thackeray

Mumbai: Protesting against rising fuel prices, Yuva Sena president Aditya Thackeray slammed BJP-led government for making false promises and said: “It seems all the promises made in
the past were false and people want their ‘bure din’ back. If we look at demonetisation it also looks like a scam. We are protesting because rising prices is injustice to people.”
Shiv Sena, BJP’s ally in Maharashtra, on Saturday carried out protests on the streets of Mumbai. Protests were carried out at 10 different locations in Mumbai and were led by various
leaders of the party, said media reports. Aditya Thackeray was present at the protest in Bandra. This was the first time that Sena, a ruling party, took to the streets playing the role of main
opposition in the state.
The protests were carried out in Borivali, Kandivali, Jogeshwari, Bandra, Kurla, Bhandup, Ghatkopar, Chembur, Dadar, Lower Parel and CST. It was attended by ministers in the current
government like Health Minister Dr Deepak Sawant and MP of Rajya Sabha, Anil Desai.
In a meeting at Matoshree last week, Sena had a brainstorming session to decide its future course of action with a major section complaining of step-motherly treatment being meted out to
the Sena by its dominant partner in the state, said the media reports.
