7 Injured as IAF MiG-27 Crashes near Jodhpur
At least seven people including a child were injured when a MIG-27 fighter of the Indian Air Force crashed in a village near Jodhpur on Friday.
Squadron Leader P Dhawan, the pilot of the ill-fated fighter, ejected to safety moments before the aircraft crashed in the Salawas village at around 0810 hours this morning.
The craft, on a routine training sortie, crashed min\utes after it took off from the Jodhpur airbase, informed an IAF spokesperson said in New Delhi.
A probe has been ordered into the incident.
Jodhpur police say seven people, including a two-year-old child, were injured in the incident.
