Singapore’s consulate general Shri Singh calls on CM Shri Chouhan

Bhopal: Singapore’s consulate general Shri Ajit Singh called on Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today and discussed business and commercial ties between Madhya Pradesh and Singapore. He also invited CM Shri Chouhan to Singapore.
Greeting the consulate general, Shri Chouhan invited Singaporean industries to invest in Madhya Pradesh. There are imBhmense investment possibilities in state in infrastructure, urban development, health and education sectors. Madhya Pradesh is the fastest growing state of the country. Its growth rate is in double digit constantly for the last 10 years. Agriculture growth rate is 18 percent. Shri Chouhan desired Singapore’s special cooperation in imparting vocational and skill development training to youths. He suggested that Singapore should introduce its teachers training programme launched in Maharashtra in Madhya Pradesh also. He said that Shri Singh’s visit will enhance and strengthen cordial relations between Singapore and Madhya Pradesh. Shri Chouhan referred to his last Singapore visit, high-level meetings at Dalyang and tour of leading company Sandoz there. He said that discussions held during that visit and investment process need to be carried forward. Shri Chouhan invited Singaporean companies to Indore Global Investors Summit to be held in October next.
The consulate general Shri Ajit Singh said that objective of his Madhya Pradesh visit is extension of bilateral commercial ties. He said that Madhya Pradesh’s public representatives and officers should visit Singapore to study industrial, developmental and political scenario. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan consented to the proposal.
Principal Secretary Commerce & Industries Shri Mohammad Sulaiman, Secretary to CM Shri Vivek Agrawal and Managing Director of Rajya Audyogik Vikas Nigam Shri A.K. Bhatt were also present on the occasion.
