OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T OxygenOS update starts rolling out, gets Screen Recorder, June Android Security Patch

OnePlus has started rolling out its latest update for its range of 6-series smartphones – the OnePlus 6T and the OnePlus 6. Users of the OnePlus 6 and the Oneplus 6T are now receiving the latest OxygenOS update which brings along the June 2019 Android Security Patch and also the latest screen recording feature as well.

The latest OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 6 devices carries the version number 9.0.7 while the OnePlus 6T is receiving the OxygenOS 9.0.15 update. OnePlus has noted that this update will be an incremental rollout with a few users receiving it today, while a broader rollout will happen in a few days.

OnePlys 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones are now receiving the latest June 2019 Android security patch with the OxygenOS 9.0.7 and the OxygenOS 9.0.15 update. In the changelog posted on the community forum, the new update brings the screen recording feature which was first seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Users are able to record the screen with audio now. OnePlus had earlier confirmed that they will be bringing the screen recorder feature to the OnePlus smartphones other than the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. The new update also brings the latest June Android Security update. After you update, the feature can be used by going to Quick Settings > Screen Recorder. The changelog has stated that the new update brings improved screen rotation.
