Eminent Hindi Poet Om Prakash Aditya Killed in Road Mishap

Eminent Hindi poet and satirist Om Prakash Aditya was killed in a road mishap near Bhopal early on Monday. Also, two other poets traveling with him were also killed in the accident.

The accident came to pass when Aditya, known for his wit and humour in literary world, was on his way back to Delhi with some other poets after attending an event in Bhopal.

Neeraj Puri and Lal Singh Gujjar were the other two poets who died in the accident. Three others were seriously injured in the accident. Of them, the condition of Om Vyas is critical.

Among some of the famous poems of Aditya are: ‘Gori Bethi Chhatt Par’ and ‘Idhar Bhi Gadhe Hain, Udhar Bhi Gadhe Hai’.

Aditya was once a teacher in a school in Malviya Nagar in south Delhi.
