“Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana” will bring social revolution: MP CM Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gifted development works worth about Rs 84 crore including the ambitious project of filling of princely water reservoirs of other villages in Sada area of Gwalior. Also said that for 28 villages of 18 gram panchayats of Sada area, the government has approved group tap-water scheme costing Rs 60 crore. Tap water will be available in every house of these villages. Telling the good news to the women present in huge numbers in the programme, Chouhan said that the state government has started “Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna” scheme in the interest of women, which will prove to be a social revolution.

Chouhan also announced to make Purani Chavni a new tehsil and organise a fair of Lord Jagannath on behalf of the state government in Kulaith at the Bhumi-Poojan and dedication ceremony of the development works held on Friday at the Police Training School near Tighra Reservoir. Along with this, the benefits of various schemes of the government were also distributed to the beneficiaries. It was presided over by Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar.

Chouhan said that empowered sisters will lead to empowered family and subsequently to an empowered state and country. With this thinking, the state government has started “Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana”. The application forms of the scheme will start filling from March 5. Women of every family with income up to Rs 2.5 lakh, including women of marginal farmer families having land up to five acres, will get the benefit of the scheme. The efforts of the government will be that by the 10th of every month, one thousand rupees should reach the account of each eligible woman. He also reiterated his commitment to provide agriculture loans to the farmers at zero percent interest.

Announcement of Chief Minister, Purani Chavni will become new tehsil

Chouhan announced to accept most of the demands made by the Minister of State for Horticulture and Food Processing (Independent Charge) Bharat Singh Kushwaha on behalf of the regional people. Chouhan announced to make “Purani Chawni” a new tehsil in Gwalior district. Along with this, announced to officially organise Lord Jagannath’s fair and Rath Yatra to be held in Kulath and to open CM Rise School with all facilities in Kulath. He told that DPR is being prepared to develop Jageshwar temple as a tourist destination. The proposal to restart the Maheshwara-Bhadeshwar mine will also be sent to the Central Government soon.

Announcement of group drinking water scheme for villages of Ghatigaon area

Chouhan announced a group drinking water scheme as a permanent solution to the drinking water problem of the villages situated in the stony areas of development block Ghatigaon (Barai). During his address, Member of Parliament Shejwalkar had drawn attention to sanction drinking water scheme to solve the drinking water problem of the villages of Ghatigaon area, which Chouhan happily accepted.

Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that Madhya Pradesh is now known as the fastest growing state in the whole country. Due to good governance now big industrialists are ready to invest in Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, there is happiness on the face of the village, poor and farmers and there has been a big change in their standard of living. Along with this, work is being done to build new roads, CM Rise School, clean water from taps in every village and to provide electricity to every house. The law and order of the state is also better. After Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Chouhan has now started Ladli Bahna Yojana in the interest of women, through which Rs 12,000 will reach to the eligible women’s account every year. On this occasion, Union Minister Tomar appreciated the work done by Minister of State Independent Charge and Regional MLA Bharat Singh Kushwaha towards the development of the area.

District in-charge and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that revolutionary work has been done in the expansion of irrigation facilities in the state. In the year 2003, the area under irrigation in the state was about 6 lakh hectare, which has now increased to 45 lakh hectare. The government is working on the target of irrigation in 65 lakh hectare area by the year 2025. In this series, the project of strengthening and filling of princely water reservoirs in Gwalior district has been approved.

Minister of State for Horticulture and Food Processing (Independent Charge) Bharat Singh Kushwaha expressed gratitude on behalf of the residents of the area towards Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for the huge gifts given to Gwalior rural area. He said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has sanctioned an amount of about Rs.60 crores to solve the years-old problems of drinking water in 28 villages located in 18 gram panchayats of Sada area. Funds have been made available for computer education to the children of Gwalior rural assembly constituency and for dental treatment of the elderly. He has also approved a plan of 63 crores to fill the reservoirs of the princely state. For this, the entire Gwalior rural area is expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister. Member of Parliament Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar also addressed.

Bhoomi-Poojan and inauguration

Chouhan and Union Minister Shri Tomar along with other guests performed digital inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan of development works costing about Rs 84 crore. In these, construction of Sank-Noon Twin Duck and Feeder Channel (Canal) to fill Raipur Dam, Mama Ka Dam, Girwai Dam at a cost of Rs. Maintenance works going to be taken up, various schemes of the Rural Development Department include Bhoomi Poojan of development works worth about one crore 74 lakh rupees and dedication of development works costing about 95 lakh rupees.

Distribution of Benefits

Chouhan inaugurated Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Custom Hiring Center, Fishing Lease, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, maintenance of tap water scheme to self-help groups, National Rural Livelihood Mission at the inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan ceremony of development works in Tighra. Distributed the benefits of credit limit, land rights lease, computer training certificate, dental revolution and other schemes. Along with that, those who cooperated in the Adopt an Anganwadi campaign and the upgradation of schools were felicitated.

Beneficiaries reached to express their thanks to Chouhan

Yash Pawar’s father, who got a new life by undergoing kidney transplant with the help of Ayushman Bharat scheme, and ShriKomal Singh, who is pursuing medical studies under the state government’s scholarship scheme, thanked the Chief Minister. Similarly, beneficiaries of other schemes of the government, including Ladli Lakshmi, Diet Grant, Agricultural Irrigation and Udyam Kranti Yojana, reached to express their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan with placards in their hands.

In the beginning, Chief Minister Chouhan flagged off a mobile restaurant vehicle run by the self-help group sisters of Rural Livelihood Mission named “Swad Sangam”. Also tasted the samosas prepared by the sisters of the group. He flagged off the “Nikshay Poshan” chariots of Prime Minister TB-free India campaign. The Chief Minister also inspected the model of group drinking water scheme made for 28 villages of Sada area.
