Display of Gandhijis icon “Spectacles” should be banned in dirty places

Bhopal: General Administration Minister Dr. Govind Singh has urged the Chief Minister Kamal Nath to completely ban the display of the icon of ‘Spectacles, of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi in toilets, dirty places, dustbins, etc. in the ‘Cleanliness Campaign’. Dr. Singh has said in the letter sent to the Chief Minister that the display of this icon in dirty places is against the dignity and honour of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
Minister Dr. Govind Singh has told that intellectuals and senior public representatives have complained that the display of Gandhiji’s “Spectacles” as icon of ‘Swachhata Mission’ on dustbins, public and community toilets, washrooms, dirty places is against the honour and dignity of the world’s ideal Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. Singh has requested the Chief Minister that the display of Gandhiji’s ‘Spectacles’ as icon on clean public places, religious and educational sites, near cultural, historical and archaeological heritage, government offices, hospitals etc. would only be dignified.
