OnePlus 7 Pro passes bend test; display remains perfectly fine after being exposed to an open flame

OnePlus 7 Pro has been launched by the Chinese smartphone maker as its latest flagship and after a lot of leaks as well as rumours, we finally have the official details about the OnePlus 7 Pro which comes with a lot of premium features. The biggest highlights of the OnePlus 7 Pro include 6.67-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED 90Hz display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 12GB RAM, triple rear cameras, a pop-up selfie camera and more.

Within hours of the official launch of OnePlus 7 Pro, Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything has posted a video in which he tests the durability of the smartphone. First, Jack tested the durability of the display its 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection against scratches from different tools. It can be seen that despite the scratches, the in-display fingerprint scanner worked perfectly fine. To recall, the OnePlus 7 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 48,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage version while the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, 256GB storage versions of the smartphone are priced at Rs. 52,999 and Rs. 57,999, respectively. The more affordable OnePlus 7 has also been launched with prices starting at Rs. 37,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage version while the 8GB RAM/256GB storage version is priced at Rs. 39,999.

OnePlus 7 Pro specifications and features

The OnePlus 7 Pro sports a 6.67-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 516PPI, 90Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10, sRGB color gamut and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 855 7nm processor clocked at 2.42GHz and paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The OnePlus 7 Pro also includes 6GB of RAM with 128GB (UFS 3.0) of inbuilt storage, 8GB / 12GB of RAM with 256GB (UFS 3.0) of inbuilt storage options.

While the OnePlus 7 Pro runs Android 9.0 Pie with OxygenOS 9.5 on top while it also supports Dual SIM (nano + nano) connectivity. For optics, there is a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with Dual LED Flash, 1/2.25″ Sony IMX586 sensor,7P lens, f/1.6 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size, OIS, EIS, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, OIS, 3x zoom, 1.0 μm pixel size, and a 16-megapixel 117-degree ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera with Sony IMX471 sensor, 1.0μm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture.

Other features of the OnePlus 7 Pro includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dual Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C audio, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, USB Type-C and a 4000mAh battery with Warp Charge 30 (5V/6A) support.
