Mahayagya of development is being conducted in the entire state under Vikas Parv. Foundation stones and Bhoomi Pujans are being done for many construction and development works. Facilities are being expanded through roads, electricity, drinking water, water for irrigation and various schemes.

CM Chouhan was addressing the Vikas Parv program at Chakaldi. The Chief Minister inaugurated/bhoomi-pujan of development works worth more than 81 crores in Chakaldi and announced to open a college in Chakaldi. Also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes.

Pattalai Lift Irrigation Scheme inaugurated today in Chakaldi will provide water for irrigation to the fields of hill villages like Pattalai, Amirganj and Palaspani and 889 hectares of agricultural land of 661 farmers of the three villages will be irrigated.

The CM said that Bhoomi-pujan has also been done for Jamonia and Chatarkota irrigation schemes today. Gradually, through various irrigation schemes, water will be supplied to every farmer’s field for irrigation.

He said that revolution is taking place in the state in the agriculture sector. Farmers are taking three crops in a year. Moong procurement work is going on in the state. Under the Kisan-Kalyan Yojana, the smallest farmer is getting an amount of Rs 12,000 in a year.

The previous government had imposed loans on the farmers, the work of paying them off was done. The production of agriculture has increased in our government and the economic condition of the farmers has strengthened. Crop loan, which was available to farmers at 18 percent interest, is now being given at zero percent interest.

Earlier when I was an MLA, I along with my colleagues used to get daughters married. Today, marriages of many daughters of the state are being conducted with great pomp under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana. On the purchase of a house, shop or farm in the name of sister, daughter and wife, one per cent stamp duty is charged in the registry, while three per cent on purchase in the name of a man. 30 percent reservation is being given to daughters in police recruitment also. Under the Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana, the elderly is being taken on pilgrimage by aeroplane.

He further added that along with training, Rs 8000 to Rs 10000 stipend will also be provided to the youth learning work in various fields under the Mukhyamantri Sikho-Kamao Yojana.

An amount of Rs 4500 will be deposited in the accounts of the students who go from their village to another village for studies, after passing 5th class, in 6th class and after passing 8th class. ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ are being conducted continuously so that sons and daughters can prepare for competitive examinations in a better way. It has also been decided to increase the amount of old age pension from Rs.600 to Rs.1000.
