New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP leader Gopinath Munde will be cremated with full state honours at his native village Parli in Maharashtra’s Beed district on Wednesday. Munde’s daughter Pankaja Munde, who is a BJP MLA from Parli, is expected to perform the last rites. Amit Gupta, Public Relations Officer of AIIMS, earlier on Tuesday said that the three-member panel of doctors constituted to conduct the post-mortem of Munde concluded that the Union Minister suffered multiple internal injuries that caused cardiac arrest, leading to his death The Union Cabinet on Tuesday expressed its deep sense of loss and grief over Munde’s death. A special Cabinet meeting convened last evening to mourn Munde’s death passed a resolution to place on record its appreciation of his services to the nation in different capacities both at the state and national levels.
The resolution said the country has lost a visionary leader, who was held in high esteem across the political spectrum. On behalf of the entire nation, the Cabinet extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
