Marcelo talks about Juventus rumors, Vinicius

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo visited Real Madrid TV to talked about the season, Julen Lopetegui and the rumors saying that he would like to join Juventus after Ronaldo’s departure from the Spanish capital.

“This is that shouldn’t be discussed. I’m very happy in Real Madrid, this is my home and I have so many years left in my contract. To me this is the world’s best club and I always want to play there. Ever since I came here I’ve always heard rumors and it’s tough for me to prove that I want to stay,” said Marcelo.

“I want to stay here for many years, then other left-backs will appear, but I don’t think I’m that old!” he added.

If it wasn’t clear enough, now it’s clear that Marcelo won’t leave Real Madrid any time soon. The defender also talked about the team’s form under new coach Julen Lopetegui.

“We’re doing a good job both offensively and defensively and coach is here to help us. You always have room for improvement but every match can be decisive,” he explained. “We have to help offensively but I’m calm with the strikers we have now,” said when asked about the attackers.

“You represent so many things. When you’re on vacation, people see you as the face of Real Madrid. Before you go to sleep you realize that you’ve won a very special trophy with the biggest club in the world…Everything I do is to bring joy to the madridistas. When they say something to me it means a lot,” explained the defender.

“When I was 18 years old and came here I thought I was a man but now I look back and I realize I was still a kid. Vinicius listens to us and he will succeed here 100% but he’s still a kid. He’s doing everything a young man has to do to succeed in Madrid. My adaptation wasn’t as hard because we had so many Brazilian players here back then, but his adaptation will be very smooth also,” concluded Marcelo.
