2 accused arrested: Financial Assistance of Rs. 8 lakh 85 thousand to families of victims

Prompt action with sensitivity taken in murder case of children in Shivpuri district

In the case of murder of 2 children on September 25 in Bhavkhedi village of Sirsaud police station area in Shivpuri district, the administration with utmost sensitivity gave financial assistance of Rs. 4,42,500 each to 2 affected family. The administration has also taken prompt action and arrested both the murder accused.
The financial assistance given to the affected families include Rs. 4 lakh 12 thousand per family as per the provision of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Atrocities Act, Rs. 5 thousand each to families to perform the last rites of the children under the Antyodaya Scheme and the assistance of Rs. 25 thousand per family by the Red Cross Society.
The murder accused Hakim Yadav and Rameshwar Yadav have been arrested. Case has been registered at Police Station Sirsaud against both the accused under the Section 320, 34 of IPC 1860 and under the Section 3(2) (v) of the SC and ST Atrocities Prevention Act, 1989 by filing FIR No.177/19. The challan will be produced by the police in the court against the accused within 15 days. The amount to be paid after submission of the challan will also be immediately paid to the affected families.
It may be mentioned that on 25th September, the district administration was informed about the murder of 12 years old Kumari Roshani d/o Kalla and 10 years old Avinash s/o Manoj belonging to Valmiki community of village Bhavkhedi. The families of both the deceased children belong to the below poverty line families. The administration acted with utmost sensitivity in the case and provided immediate financial assistance to the affected families and the murder accused were also arrested promptly. As soon as the incident was reported to the District Collector Smt. Anugrah P., she visited the families of the victims and consoled them.
