Russia’s Sukhoi fired flares towards American drone

In Syria, on Wednesday i.e. July 5, the US claimed that 3 Russian fighter jets blocked the way for their 3 MQ-9 drones. According to the US Air Force, Russian Sukhoi-35 fighter jets started firing flares from parachutes in front of the drones, which blocked their front view.

After this he had to change his path. According to news agency AP, the US has said that their drones were monitoring ISIS targets in Syria. US Central Command also released a video of the incident.

According to the American company General Atomic Aeronautical, the MQ-9A drone first flew in 2001. The updated version of this drone is the MQ-9B. After 2000, the US military needed a driverless aircraft that could be controlled remotely.

As a result of this, the MQ-9A was created. It could fly continuously for 27 hours. After this, the updated version of this drone became MQ-9B SkyGuardian and MQ-9B SeaGuardian. By May 2021, America had more than 300 such drones. According to the deal between the two countries during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to America, India will get 30 MQ-9 drones for three billion dollars. Army, Airforce will get 8-8 and Navy will get 14 drones.
