2886 nomination papers filed on last day

Bhopal: As many as 2886 candidates filed nomination papers in various districts for Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha elections on the last day for filing nomination papers. Maximum 126 nomination papers were filed in Jabalpur district and minimum 8 in Alirajpur district. Nomination papers will be scrutinised on November 9 while candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till November 11.

Large number of candidates filed nomination papers on the last day for filing nomination papers. Today, 25 nomination papers were filed in Sheopur district, Morenaa 74, Bhind 120, Gwalior 99, Datia 37, Shivpuri 80, Guna 34, Ashok Nagar 61, Sagar 76, Tikamgarh 68, Chhatarpur 50, Damoh 53, Panna 55, Satna 120, Rewa 84, Sidhi 49, Singrauli 37, Shahdol 43, Anuppur 35, Umaria 19, Katni 46, Dindori 31, Mandla 60, Balaghat 63, Seoni 34, Narsinghpur 49, Chhindwara 108, Betul 46, Harda 25, Hoshangabad 36, Raisen 56, Vidisha 55, Bhopal 51, Sehore 35, Rajgarh 47, Shajapur 66, Dewas 47, Khandwa 59, Burhanpur 24, Khargone 101, Barwani 32, Jhabua 26, Dhar 99, Indore 105, Ujjain 88, Ratlam 54, Mandsaur 51 and 39 nomination papers were filed in Neemuch district.

On the first day November 1, a total of 32 candidates had filed nomination papers, 31 on November 2, 73 on November 4, 250 on November 5, 434 November 6 and 1181 nomination papers were filed on November 7. Today, 2886 nomination papers were filed. With this, the total number of nominations filed in the state has gone up to 4887.
