CM visits health camp

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on a tour to Dhamtari district on Wednesday visited a camp conducted by the health department under Chief Minister Urbal Slum Clinic Scheme in primary health centre at Itwari Bazar. Nearly 132 people availed the health checkup facility at the camp. CMHO Dr Turre informed that from October 2 to till date, health checkups of 1672 people of slum areas have been done. 11 cases out of these were referred to other medical institutions. The referred cases were that of tuberculosis, leprosy and clubfoot. On the occasion, Chief Minister gave polio and rota virus vaccination drops to three children and gave spectacles to two children. Chief Minister also got his blood-sugar test done at the camp. During the visit, he served suposhan kits to five tiny tots of Hatkekkkshwar and Danitola ward. On the occasion, he also served freshly-cooked food to five pregnant and lactating mothers.

Baghel also felicitated a couple– Sunita Lal and Rajesh Lal– with certificate, for actively pursuing check-up and treatment of their daughter. Their 28-day-old daughter has a deformed limb since birth. Soon after the birth couple detected the deformity in their daughter’s limb. Hence, they took her to the camp held at heath service centre Tikrapara in aanganbadi centre-1 Nayapara on November 9. Doctors did her checkup and confirmed the deformity and referred her to the district hospital. This 28-year-old will be provided necessary treatment this week. Chief Minister felicitated the couple with certificate for being so well-aware about Chief Minister Urban Slum Clinic Scheme and referred them as inspiration for other people.
