Six projects for investment of Rs 3285 crore sanctioned

Bhopal. Six projects related with investment were approved in the meeting of Investment Promotion Sub-Committee, held under chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today. Capital investment to the tune of Rs 3285 crore will be made in the state in these projects.

Chief minister Shri Chouhan said that the state government has policy to promote investment. Better environment is available in the state for investment. It was informed in the meeting that integrated steel plant will be set up by investment of Rs 335 crore in Sihora of Jabalpur district by M/s Pacific Iron Manufacturing Ltd. Special processing centre will be developed in IT sector by investment of Rs 57 crore in Mandideep of Raisen district by M/s Fujitsu Optel Pvt Ltd. Coated Fabric Textile Project will be set up by M/s Mayur Uniquoters Ltd in Seetapur of Morena district through investment of Rs 109 crore. Investment of Rs 1450 crore would be made by M/s Vardhman Textile Ltd in Mandideep, Satlapur and Budhni located units for modernisation and expansion. Similarly expansion will be carried out by investment of Rs 936.64 crore by M/s Sagar Manufacturing Pvt Ltd in Tamot of Raisen district. Furniture fittings manufacturing unit will be established in Pithampur by M/s Hettich India Pvt Ltd by investment of Rs 398 crore.

Finance Minister Shri Jayant Mallaiya, Commerce And Industries Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Energy Minsiter Shri Paras Jain, Revenue Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Minister of state for Micro, Small and Medium Industries Shri Sanjay Pathak, Chief Secretary Shri BP Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Shri AP Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Shri Iqbal Singh Bais, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Ashok Varnawal, Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industries Shri Mohammed Suleman, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri SK Mishra and Secretary Shri Vivek Agrawal were present in the meeting.
